I must stress that I only photograph and film women wearing spandex who are 18+ and with there consent.But I will say my first memory was Eric Heiden at the Olympics(and then there was Ian Thorpe at the Olympics)My private collection of photographs and film consists of female performers only but I did see a small amount of movies where the male performer starring with the female performer was actually wearing spandex which in my opinion enhanced the scene even though I was only watching the performance of the actress.

Growing up in the 70's and watching TV...it was like a slow IV drip of women in tight shiny clothing. I remember watching Buck Rogers and thinking that if that was the future in fashion, bring it on! Then Solid Gold with their dancers writhing to the music - it was almost too much for this pre-teen to take!

And then pretty much any sitcom that was lagging a bit in the ratings had to have the principle players go to an aerobic studio of course.

When I was 15 My dad was in hospital and I got bored, so I wandered the halls. I went down to the lower level to find the cafeteria and heard this thumping music. I opened a door and saw this vision in blue shiny spandex and ankle boots. I now know it was a biketard she wore. The song changed to a slow, but still thumping ballad and I watched from the door as she danced slowly to the music. It was like watching a thoroughbred horse galloping...every muscle seemed to be visible through the fabric with each slow movement. She seemed lost in the music, lost in the dance and I was, as well!

The music stopped and she noticed me. She walked over and asked if she could help me. I could feel my face flush with embarrassment. I stammered "No, but your dancing was great...um...sorry.... I was staring". She touched my hand, said "no, I liked it" and walked out. NOW, I would have persued her, but the 15 year old me was shy and not knowing what to do.

I was taking cooking class in high school and this beautiful girl would almost always come dressed in riding pants and boots. She was gorgeous, kind of like Marilyn Monroe but with an 80's haircut! I got the courage to say "hey, you look great but, why do you wear the same thing to class every time?" She said she had riding lessons afterwards when the class fell at last block, and she wouldn't have time to change right after school as she lived too far away. "Yeah, but what about the other times when this is first block or whatever?" She blushed and said "I kinda like the attention I get when I wear them." "Like now?" I asked. "Yeah" she said. We dated for about a month thereafter(!)

Then in the late 80's I joined a gym. There was a mix of steroid-laden men (those who I befriended at the gym later called them 'Roid Monkeys) and their bubble-headed girlfriends, and then a few people like me, Mr. Average.

I worked with a girl who invited me to the class she was taking...turned out to be an advanced class and the first Step aerobic class they taught. Picture this...me and a sea of lycra - (most of it non shiny :( ) I was the only guy there and I was with my friend from work (a girl but not a girlfriend). The instructor was in this all-black shiny bodysuit and of course I was right behind her for all of the class with a perfect view of that sweet rear end encased in shiny spandex. She was very much like Demi Moore, straight hair, husky voice and all.

At the end the instructor as she walked around watching how we all did our final stretches touched me on the shoulder and said "hey, you did great". I looked up at her, and said thanks and right at my eye level was her lovely spandex-encased chest. I blushed, and she giggled. After the class had finished, My friend afterwards pushed me to ask for her number, saying "C'mon, she was being very obvious...she was almost begging you to touch them!" We went on a few dates but nothing really came of it...we wanted different things. But I did enjoy her getting prepared for work :)

All that planted the seeds, that's for sure.

My first spandex experience was 3 years ago, last days of high school during the aerobic lesson in classroom/gym...there was this girl doing some exercizes bending her amazing bosy at 90°...I was in trance, immediately, her butt and fantastic toned legs in spandex are a great memory still today to me...

I have to say my first experience was watching batman on TV. The series came out in the 60s and I was a big batman fan but never thought much about his costume. But the first time I saw catwoman I was GLUED to the screen trying so hard to get a good look at her. I had this funny feeling and didnt know what it was but it was a sensation of excitment seeing her in that full catsuit. I had never seen a woman in a suit like that. Her high heel boots even turned me on which is probably why I also have a boot fetish LOL. The fact that she was so sexy but mean and catty also shaped my like for that type of woman.

Great question and great responses. The stand out themes are 70's and early 80's, aerobics on tv and girls in school. These are what got me hooked. Including Erin Gray, Wonder Woman, Cat Woman and Bat Girl.

Well, I seem to remember flipping through the Sears wish books that came out before christmas time and staring at some of the photos of the women in spandex. Then there was the original Batman TV series with Catwoman and Batgirl. There was also Miami Vice, Magnum PI and a few other TV shows from the'80s that had spandex sprinkled around here and there.

My first memory of woman in spandex is when i was about 8-9 yrs old, when i saw one my younger sister friend in her black gymnastics leotard. They practice some dance or something what i don't remember i had eyes for girl and leotard. First i didn't understand how they put them on. Bit peeking pay off and i figured out how its done just loud screaming after i was discovered made it short. Later i saw her many times dressed like that.

In beginning of my teenage time i was teasing her most when they wore leotards. Again if they practice dance i needed use my watergun and then again other things even pulling hairs if nothing else came in my mind. One time that hair pulling went wrong she was angry but suddenly it was different. I touched her and she did not resist and i was lost in world of leotards and girls.

Then beginning if 90's and almost every girl wore leggins and skirt or bikershorts and skirt. And plenty of leotards and tight shorts in gym classes, till slowly wearing leotards fade out and same for leggigns too.

I guess a couple of posts have referenced the fact that in the 70s and 80s women wore leotards more often. If I think back to my own life, in the late 70s, early 80s, my mum used to go to yoga classes. These had just started to take off in the UK. I remember her wearing a black leotard and black tights - not spandex, just nylon. Her friends would drop round wearing the same gear - okay, with a coat over the top, but not much more. Now, these days, women seem a lot more body conscious. My wife wears tights/leggings, never a leotard, for exercise, but wouldn't dream of walking down the street in that gear. But back then, ladies in their 30s and 40s - mums with far from model bodies, were happy wearing this gear as they saw it as the uniform for what they were doing. I don't think I appreciated it enough at the time, and now those times have gone. So leotards are definitely hugely down in favour. On the plus side, leggings/tights and cycling shorts for women exercising are very popular indeed. I run in London, and last week, on a cold day running in the city, of the women running about 75% were wearing lycra tights - not something looser, and that included women of all sizes, and they clearly feel comfortable in those clothes, and that they serve a practical use, ie, the lycra supports them and helps them. So whilst I mourn the loss of leotards - really, I find them very arousing and miss them hugely, I thank the lord of lycra for running tights!!

I would probably say 3rd grade. Some of the girls were doing a dance number to the song "New York, New York" and they were dressed in all black with top hats. Of course these meant all of them wearing leggings. All white girls. Amazing for the time. As I got old tight fighting black pants (not jeans obviously) were always my favorite. One of my biggest crushes in middle school was a white girl with brown hair and frickles. She had a nice body, but I never paid attention to her or care about her unless she wore her tight black pants. They were like ribbed leggings. Everytime the bus would stop everyone would jump the aisle to get off first and I would always make sure I sat across from here so when I jumped up I'd be right behind her (on those days she wore those pants) and rub her butt. She never got upset or complained and in retrospect I think I could have asked her out.

Another girl (middle school again) would wear those same type of pants. I would never pay attention to her otherwise, but when she wore those pants I'd definitely touch her butt. So much so that she started to wear a sweater around her waist whenever she wore those pants so I would not see or touch her butt. In the 8th grade there was this other girl that was okay, but again...L.E.I. black spandex type pants got me interested in her and another girl (again wearing the ribbed leggings). So I would say those 4 girls and that event in 3rd grade set me off.

I imagine most woman would be highly creeped out depending how narrow minded they are, and even if they're open minded I'd feel weird if it didnt produce any arousal for them and they were just doing it all for me. It kinda depresses me that most of us would be forced to keep it a secret from our lovers.

for those of you who have partners into this, is it easier for woman to jump into this particular fetish for arousal or would it be completely non - sexual to most woman regardless of their open mindedness or intent (or no more than just having clothes on I guess).

I wouldn't wanna date someone just for the sole fact that they have this fetish, as the whole relationship would completely center around it.

One important question to any women here: do you have an extreme attraction to males in spandex if you have the fetish yourself and you are straight, or no?

I introduced it to my wife (then girlfriend) very slowly, bit by bit over the years and loads of patience she's completely open to it and loves pleasing my lycra/pantyhose fetish. I think the lesson I learned and would suggest to others who are apprehensive about revealing the fetish to their partners is just to take it one step at a time and make her understand that its not the item of clothing that maters so much, but the fact that she's wearing it and how it emphasizes her great features. Don't concentrate on the item, concentrate on how the item enhances your enjoyment with her.

oh damn your stories have gave me much needed inspiration.

honestly having a spandex fetish is identical to a drug addiction (which I have endured also) - for example the most intense divine roll on the floor blow a load rush I'll get from spandex is usuLly after a decently long period of abstinence due to guilt and shame.

what will always happen is after that initial "relapse" I will go on a spandex binge for a fee days or weeks but sadly what always happens is it looses most of it's horniness for a lite while.

the spandex loosing it's magic is extremely characteristic of drug tolerance. only problem with tights unlike drugs (unfortunate too)is that you can not raise your dose of spandex like you would with a drug.

what do you personally find works best to get the magic back. I Imagine doing kinky stuff on it would be like raising the dose; for example I've never been out in public wearing it, I'd wear this tight biking unitard i have and bike to a park or somethin. the whole fear of knowing people are watching me and turned off (well I have a very slim body) but by the huge piercing woody and the inevitable wet spot would turn the normal horniness into a turbo charged orgasm.

yea this might really disguise some strangers I'll never see again, but it's not like they'd fuckin get PTSD from it - if anything it'd be a hilarious story for them to tell their friends and make their day.

Too vague a question.....

1) Is this about how a women might react when you tell her you love seeing her wear spandex?

2) Is this about how a women might react when you tell her that you enjoy wearing spandex?

a) Are you wearing cycling shorts, running tights or a triathlon suit?

b) Are you, say, wearing a women's pink metallic thong leotard with a nice pair of stilettos and some leg warmers?

You see the delineation? So critical to draw the distinction...

In my experience, very few women find it odd that you enjoy them wearing spandex....but on the whole there are generally two abstentions most women have:

a) Fat - spandex is a privelege, you need a great body to pull it off, very few women have that kind of confidence nor like to be held to such a high degree of apparel accountability. It reveals too much and everything else is easier.

b) Fashion - most younger gals see spandex as the fashion joke of yester-year, it would be like us wearing bow-ties or some other relic of an era gone past. I've heard young gals saying "OMG, I would NEVER wear that"....or they'd wear it for Halloween as part of a joke.

But on the whole, asking a gal to wear spandex is no fetish-alarm....it's a sexy material & look and they can recognize that. It's not a whole lot different then telling them you love seeing them in lingerie...but instead of lace, it's shiny. Hardly a kink or much out of the ordinary.

Now, in so far as men wearing it...in proper context (cycling, swimming, running....sports & athletics). Many women profess that they kinda like it. Some are embarassed to admit it but my experience is that when their husband or boyfriend dons some spandex, the wife/girlfriend gets pretty hands-on...unless they think it's a complete fashion flop. Usually it goes over well, especially if it's substantiated by wearing it with a fitness activity or a genuine purpose. Wearing it to the gym or for a bike ride...yes. Wearing it to a piano recital or wedding, no!

But on the whole, if you tell them that you enjoy wearing it...and you're wearing it in proper context, it usually goes over fine...especially if it inspires you to lose weight, stay fit and have a better body! No freakshow here.

Lastly, as far as men pretty much cross-dressing (aka, pulling a Monkeyboy)....a small handful of women just love seeing a guy get-off and be all excited with his kink. It's like a women who wears spandex solely because she likes how it turns-on the guy, it's not about the fabric, just the power & attention she gets. Women generally aren't as fetishly inclined like us men....but there are some pretty wild ones out there...few & far between. Women also tend to be very lenient, if it turns-on their mate, they're often okay with it.

But any time you tell a gal you love wearing spandex, you open yourself up to a bit of psychological condemnation. Wearing it for sports is not a biggy....but telling a gal you love wearing her unitard or bathing suit....they generally don't see it as a spandex feitsh...all they know is that their man wants to wear women's clothing! Now ju gotz some 'splaining to do! Cause they figure the next step is a bra, dress, wig and the whole 9-yards of being a cross-dresser.

To us it's very clear....just spandex in and of it's skin-tight, body-hugging, silky-soft nature; we're not trying to pass as a women or even dress like one. Trying to explain such a fetish is similar to trying to explain 'color' to a blind person...what is so clear to us is challengingly inconceivable to others. I am thoroughly knowledgeable about my b/f's fetish, he wears it around the house in front of me, and in private, and I have even worn spandex for him in the past, and he totally enjoyed it. I have tried many things for him, and even surprised him spontaneously at times. But the more he turned to the internet and himself, it was a huge discouragement for me, and I started feeling very undesired, so I stopped initiating sex all together, just like he has done with me. So needless to say, we don't have a sex life and I am very frustrated.

He acts like everything is just fine in our relationship, and it's not. I came to this website in an effort to learn more about this type of fetish and surprise him again when I build up the courage. In short, while you imply that you are supportive, his actions would rather indicate otherwise. If he really loves you, he'll open up and tell you his desire. Maybe he's
affraid this 'desire' will scare you off.

The ideal case is that his desire becomes you, not the internet.
Both of you will need to be 100% honest and then decide whether you
both can come to a solution which fulfills both and doesn't hurt either of you.

Spandex lost its magic is extremely resistant characteristics. With different drugs (Unfortunately, too) tights only problem is that you can not raise your dose and spandex like your medications. You think works best to get back to the magic. I want to do kinky things will improve as it dose, for example, I never wear it in public, I will wear this close and I bike unitard or bike to the park incident.

this wasn't a girlfriend/wife story but i was out an about decked out in my spandex and heels. a quite attractive younger woman came up to me and was asking me about where i found the cloths i had. i told her about my wardrobe and she was telling me about how she loved the feel and look of it. i would love to see her modeling some of the outfits i have. she had on a pair of shiny tights under a sweater dress and was saying she'd like to get more of the sexier stuff as she liked being out in it in the same way i was. i'm hoping we get together again on this and we can both be out and looking hot. there needs to be more women like her in this world.
