Your lucky, my wife really won't wear it for me....she, like many women, feel it makes her look fat and who can deny that it shows-off every detail and hides nothing. I can't say as I blame her but I'm a bit resentful that she knows I want it but won't oblige.

As for my wearing a lot of spandex, it's all done as athletic apparel and she thinks nothing of it. Honestly, we have a lot of friends visit us here and at our vacation home and despite my wearing a LOT of spandex, nobody seems to comment or mind it...almost shockingly so. To most people it's just clothing and if anything I have an unusual taste or perhaps tendency to wear something less then flattering...cause let's face it, you really do need an awesome body to look good in it, unless (like some of these guys on YouTube) you're resigned to just let the flab show and think it's all good, lol.

But yeah, to date I've not met or found any gal who is into wearing spandex with the same "interest" we have...to them it's just clothing and a "spandex fetish" is as inconceivable or puzzling to them as a sweater fetish might be to us.

In most recent times I've had 3 girls over who I could have fucked. two-out-of-three wore the leggings I offended them. One did not and was uber stubborn. There is no slow introduction, for me. I just wait for a situation where the woman needs to change and doesn't have extra clothes and then I toss out the "Oh by the way..." from there they usually agree.

I was fortunate enough that I just told my girlfriend straight out how I love the look, feel and texture of shiny nylon spandex and that it really turns me on and that I would really love to see her wear it. She said that she wouldn't mind going to buy some leggings since she was going to buy some soon anyway. She had never worn them before and really doesn't like to wear pantyhose. That's when I spilled my guts about having many storage bins full of every type of spandex item imaginable. From leggings, bike shorts, leotards, unitards, biketards, etc. Let's just say that I got quite a nice fashion show that night and we had fun picking out a nice selection of items to play around in. Nothing is better than feeling a woman's arousal build through a pair of shiny spandex shorts or leggings. I almost thought she peed herself LOL.

This was a dream come true for me and somehow we almost always manage to work spandex into our love life. Probably because she wears leggings 4 out of 5 times we go out. Being that she is now 34 years old, it does draw some attention and interesting looks from onlookers, but I'll be honest, that turns me on even more and she even points it out to me when she sees it happening. I see nothing wrong with her wearing colorful and shiny leggings for years to come. Part of the problem is that people in the state of North Carolina are not the most fashion trendy and way too many women dress like slobs. It's typically old ratty yoga pants, sweat pants, pajama pants or jeans. I think that's why when other women see my girlfriend in a nice sweater dress or skirt with shiny American Apparel or Tappers & Pointers leggings on, they get that smug or put-off look. Oh well, jealousy is part of the problem and my girl has no issue with dressing up to drive me crazy :).

On a side note, I noticed a number of women wearing capri and ankle length leggings while at Walt Disney World in Florida back in early October. Even though weather was sunny and in the 80F-85F range, a few Brazilian women were wearing some interesting nylon/lycra leggings and a Caucasian woman was wearing black shiny nylon American Apparel Leggings. A bit hot for leggings, but hey, I didn't mind. The funny thing is, it was my girlfriend who pointed most of the women out to me. I'm glad she saw other women wearing the stuff, because I'm sure it made her feel better about wearing them herself. My GF was wearing hot pink Nylon Lycra Biker shorts with just a T-Shirt. I was sure to get a few leg and butt rubs in while waiting in line for rides. I was primed and ready for my own ride when I got back to the resort hotel! ;)

Dont kid yourself! There are a lot of things that turn people on that they dont talk about because they feel it may be embarrassing. Wow! Great that your g/f participates in wearing leggings for you. I just read about you being in North Carolina and Disney world. Yes those Brazilian women will wearing leggings year round and like to show off those bubble butts.
I used to have a g/f who was one of those women who will wear those frumpy yoga pants and sweats and look at your woman wearing leggings and comment on her. It actually turned me on seeing another woman making her feel inferior. :twisted:

Shiny leggings pull you in?

I'm terrible sometimes.

Doing a quick, very specific shop in West London today, when I notice a woman walking towards me, mid twenties or so, looooong brown hair, pair of nerd chic specs, and crucially, a pair of near-spray-on wet look leggings.

She turns into Waitrose and inexplicably, I follow. It's not even like she had her bum on show or anything crude, I was just mesmerised by her calves in these shiny leggings. Of course I'm not a total unsubtle uber perve or anything so I followed her in for all of 5 seconds, before forcing myself off into another aisle and contriving to buy stuff. I did kind of need some breakfast things, but I never would have shopped there if it hadn't have been for this lovely.

Queued for a few minutes and was somewhat dissapointed she didn't come back my way.

Does anyone else find it disruptive when a pretty gal shoehorned into lycra crosses paths with them on the high street?

followed one down the train the other day and sat close by, until my station.
also followed one down the street when i was working in another town, for a good 5 minutes,
ended up getting lost.

Absolutely....it's one of the reasons I'm addicted to spin classes! :mrgreen:

I often wonder if these women realize how mesmerizing they are, do they think it just looks cute and do they realize how it tugs our mind. I'd be willing to bet that under an MRI the chemistry of the brain does all sorts of things.

I think that is an interesting angle. How many of these women have men in their lives that ask them to wear spandex? I often wonder if the women who frequently wear tight fitting technical spandex at the gym do it because they think it turns guys on, it affects their athletic performance, it looks appropriate for fitness or 'its appropriate for the activity' (versus other options), or a combination of the thoughts. Clearly its not a singular reason.

I'm also interested in what drives a woman to buy technical tights versus something like Lululemon.

I was working in an office yesterday, a dress down day, and a secratary came in wearing those leather look type leggings, black and shiny, with a brown tunic sweater, and black boots. I couldn't keep my eyes off of her! She knew it too and kept showing off for me. :oops: :shock: :o :roll:

Some familiar experiences here.

themagic_oftights raised the issue of if the women in the shiny tights have husbands/boyfriends who ask them to wear them. That's an interesting point. My take on it is most men find shiny tights, tight leggings around the bum etc sexy 'to some extent', but to what degree varies hugely. We're all hardwired to appreciate women's bodies, and clothes that show them off will interest you. But, some of us, who have a spandex/lycra 'weakness', can't help but feel a sometimes overwhelming attraction when you see women in these kind of clothes. I know the feeling, you see a girl wearing shiny leggings, and you feel overwhelmed as someone is wearing your chosen fetish in the 'real world'. You can't help but look! Sometimes when I'm out with my wife when someone walks past in the 'right' leggings, she'll say "having a good look are you?" or something like that and laugh at me as she knows that's what I'm into. Conversely, I think a lot/most men aren't that fussed. They like them, but don't have a strong preference. I guess thinking about it the other way round, some men like things like the 'fancy lingerie' route, and I like that... but not as much as lycra. I know it's sexy, I like it. But it doesn't give them me that "oh my god" feeling I get when I see a women in lycra.

Other points to note:
I know from listening to conversations my wife has had with friends about shiny leggings etc, that they seem to think a) you need to have a 'good' body to wear them in public. By this they often mean thin legs, and a small bum. I think a lot of us here would disagree, that we like women with curves and lycra shows that off like nothing else. But we have to accept that when women wear tight fitting clothes in public, they feel men will eyeball them, but critically, other women will cast an eye over them and judge them, often cruelly. "What's she doing wearing that? Her body isn't good enough".

I have heard some male friends say how much they hate leggings/tights on women. I can't really believe it. WTF is wrong with them!?!?! ;-)

Leggings,tights, spandex ect are a thing of beauty ,I love women wearing them especially the curvier women ,it's the way it hugs they're curves its mesmerising :mrgreen:

I had a nice sighting yesterday, I was filling up my car with fuel and there was women infront of me putting fuel in ,she had a great figure ,she knew I was watching as she was pulling down her top too hide her amble bum ,lets just say I over filled on fuel a bit :lol:

Is it just me or do you find the shiny material tends to convey a tighter look....everything seems firm, tight and in better shape, more attractive....whereas the matte finish is just kinda boring by comparison?

Agreed. Matte, nice, but doesn't really pop on the radar. Shiny, you'd just love to touch it. I find myself drawn to look at pretty much any woman wearing tight, shiny lycra, just makes whatever is inside look that much better. She might not even be remotely your 'type', but if she's wearing a pair of shiny lycra leggings, she'll at least get noticed by me.

Yeah, the matte look does little for me really.

This weekend alone, I walked past no less than 5 women wearing shiny lycra disco jeans.

It was ridiculous...

The first 'sighting' was a girl rushing past me as I walked towards the tube on Friday night, shiny navy blue disco jeans flashing away in my vision, tall heels clacking on the pavement, making my heart involuntarily race harder.

Saturday I saw a couple more women dressed in the black variety milling around by the shops on the way to the tube again. Tried not to look too hard as I was with my partner and her friend. We changed trains a bit later in our journey and a black lady with a very curvy behind emerged in front of us, again legs clad in shiny black silky lycra.

I was starting to feel like this was becoming a flipping challenge, trying not to look too much.

Finally, a brunette sat directly opposite us in the carriage when we were heading into East London. Black silky amazing looking American Apparel disco jeans, white shirt/blouse tucked into them, black heels to accentuate the whole thing. She had applied the bronzer a bit liberally on her face and along with her heavy mascara she was very 'footballers wives' in terms of style, not usually my cup of tea.

But the jeans were hypnotic on her and although I definitely didn't stare, I did catch a look from time to time. ;)
She had her legs folded and the material was taught against her thighs, that single distinctive seam running along the side. Towards her feet the material ruffled slightly around the ankles, exactly how it's supposed to with those bottoms. Basically she was rocking them.

When we got up at our stop, it turned out to be her destination too. She kissed her lady friend goodbye and hopped off in front of us. High waisted shiny spandex encased her bottom, two pockets practically painted on each cheek. Like I say, I couldn't stare, but my blood was pumping afterwards.

I love that these have become so mainstream in London, but I have little chance of persuading my lady to indulge in a pair, so I'll have to go on enjoying them vicariously. :P

For the record, my partner does belong to a rowing club and so I do at least see her squeezing into lycra quite often, including a dark green unitard on 'match days', but it doesn't really cross over into love life if you know what I mean.

Absolutely! I tend to be very social and don't hesitate to converse with people. A gal in great-looking spandex will almost always capture my attention and many times these are gals I'd never think to look at, spandex is that powerful!

Tonight at the gym I was playing racquetball and saw a spin instructor who was wearing a new pair of sporty tights walk by...she said hello to me first but I asked her if they were new and complimented her on them. My friends thought it was a bit odd but in the end I'm conversing with a hottie, she was flattered for the compliment and I'm just enjoying life! Down deep (and they've admitted it) they wish they had the social skills to pull that off.

High-five Dynamic. Its important to reinforce good ideas with compliments. The woman may find it odd but they definitely appreciate the compliment and it will absolutely factor in their mind when shopping again. We all like to be complimented for things and when it comes to spandex (a highly debated topic of clothing) be complimented means WAY more. Its affirmation for choice.

I'm not drawn in by the whole 'wetlook' thing and the satin disco look does nothing for me (just my personal view) but I think my fetish is multifold because a woman in workout tights and especially the early 90's/late 80's style nylon based stuff REALLY gets my attention and think its co-triggered by the athletic confidence of a woman wearing shiny workout tights and the way they grip their physique and tuck firmly into their curves (front and back).

We are all strange... Do i like spandex i wear it and love certain type of lycra.. Can't i voice my disgust with shiny fabric that is gone with era of satin colored jackets and polyester pants and shirts in the disco's... Or just colorful aerobics leotards that reflect like a mirror in the 80's....
What year is it, don't we try to modernize fabrics yet keep the same tight lycra fit still looking good...

As for the pictures just giving little visual experience to what might be a benign post... Lighten up with your judgemental views of me....

You know, Mack, maybe chicken pants :roll: are losing favor. If so it's about time. Chicken pants, jazz pants, dike pants, whatever the heck you want to call them, are not the least bit flattering. It's great to see women back to running in running tights now instead of those insipid jazz pants :evil: that are still favored by those tight-assed dance teams.
You're damned right I'd rather see women wear tights! Does anyone have a problem with that?

No shine she looks modern yet eye grabbing with that lycra fit.. Wouldn't anyone agree..

As far as bootcut flared pants they should be worn for flamingo dancers to accent there feet like a flag tied around there ankles, not to workout in...

I somtimes wonder if the fit women that wear shiny black running tights realize most of us would leave our wives and g/fs to spend a night with them.
